Festival of Saint Peter Calafell Beach
Festival of Saint Peter Calafell Beach-Festa Major de Sant Pere de la Platja de Calafell
Festival Date: 29-06-2015
With the arrival of the warmer weather, it’s time to dress up and commemorate the day of Saint Peter. Although this Saint is best known as the patron saint of fishermen, Saint Peter also protects against earthquakes, rabies, and also against phylloxera.
The pilgrims also invoke Saint Peter to protect them from all kinds of accidents and incidents relating to travel and the road. But Saint Peter is basically the patron saint of fishermen, both in the sea and rivers. So the festivities happen on Calafell beach, with a fun, varied program to honour this saint.

Please could you tell me what date the firework display will be on the beach at calafell for both this year and 2016 for the festival de at pere
Hi Paula,
The fireworks happen on Sunday night the 28th June, at 11pm. I did mention next year to the Tourist Authority, but I don’t know if it is the same, as they haven’t been able to confirm this. However I imagine it should normally be the night of the 28th, given the format. I hope that helps.
Thanks
Jackie
